When you submit a tenant inquiry we collect your email address, the city and neighborhood you are searching, your budget, and your move-in and move-out dates. When you request operator access we collect your company name, contact name, email, phone number, city, and portfolio size. We also collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.

We use your information to match tenants with rooms, to connect operators with prospective tenants, to verify operators, to respond to inquiries, to improve the product, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Messages sent through Linnhaus may be reviewed by Linnhaus for safety, fraud prevention and support.

Tenant inquiry details may be shared with the rental operator whose listing you contacted, so they can respond. We also use service providers for hosting, database storage, analytics, and email delivery, who process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet recordkeeping obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Data is stored with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site. Only if you click "Accept" in our cookie banner do we load Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. These send Google and Meta which pages you view and whether you saved a room, sent an enquiry or placed or confirmed a booking (with the room, its neighborhood and price), so we can measure visits and improve our ads. With consent we also keep a first-party cookie for 90 days recording which ad or link first brought you here (campaign tags and ad click IDs) and attach it to your enquiries, bookings and account. We record your choice and when you made it. Rejecting keeps the site fully usable. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. New York residents may also have rights under applicable state law. Send requests to hello@linnhaus.com and we will respond within the time required by law.

The services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
